18-Hole Championship Course

Crawfordsville Country Club, founded in 1906, is the second-oldest golf course in Indiana. Nestled along the banks of Sugar Creek, the property was once the summer home of General Lew Wallace, who affectionately named it “Water Babble” for the natural springs that flowed through the grounds.

The 18-hole championship course spans 132 scenic acres on the east edge of Crawfordsville, offering a serene and picturesque setting for golfers.

Course Features

The course features a tree-lined front nine and rolling hills on the back nine, providing variety to the player without sacrificing playability. Designed to challenge players of all skill levels, Crawfordsville Country Club offers well-groomed reconstructed fairways and greens with pace. Golfers can enjoy lush fairways, strategic bunkers, and picturesque surroundings on every hole.

The architect who designed the Crawfordsville Country Club course was William H. “Bill” Diddel. He was an accomplished amateur golfer, even winning the Indiana Amateur Championship, and celebrated golf course designer born in Indianapolis, Indiana. Diddel’s work is still celebrated and his influence on American golf courses is noted by golf course architect Ron Kern.

Mens and ladies leagues run April to September, with many fun shambles, scrambles, and outings mixed in. Simulator leagues provide fun for both the men and ladies during the winter months.

For the more competitive golfers, CCC offers friendly competition throughout the season, including skills challenges, Par 3 Shootouts, League Play Points Races, Shambles, Memorial Day and 4th of July Tournaments, Longest Drive Competitions, Club Championships, Member-Guest, Member-Member, Member-Pro, a new Chili Open and Pumpkin Open, and more.

Outings

While CCC is now a private club, we remain committed to our community that we’ve been a part of since 1906. Each year, we proudly host golf outings and fundraising events that raise vital funds for local nonprofits. It’s our way of combining the game we love with the spirit of giving back to Montgomery County.

Contact the Golf Shop for more information on hosting your outing at CCC.
